Callaway Big Bertha Alpha Driver / Flex X-Stiff / Loft 9

NOTE A piece of the hosel has broken off

Callaway Big Bertha Alpha is a driver for you who want to control your ball flight yourself — right down to the details.

It revolutionized the market with Gravity Core, which lets you adjust spin independently of launch. That means you can lower or raise the spin rate without changing launch angle. If you tend to generate too much spin off the tee, here you have a tool that actually does something about it.

You can move the center of gravity both vertically and horizontally. Together with adjustable loft and weight placement in the heel and toe, you get up to 32 different settings.

In short:

• More control over spin and ball flight

• Option for draw or fade bias

• Better fit for your swing

• More stability on off-center hits

With a 460 cc head and a lightweight carbon composite crown, the center of gravity is positioned low for a strong and penetrating ball flight. The forged construction and combination of multiple materials provide a solid, crisp sound and a feel that just feels right.

The face is designed with a rib structure that increases ball speed — even when you don’t strike it perfectly. This delivers higher MOI and more forgiveness, especially if you don’t hit the center of the sweet spot every time.

Who is it for? It’s suited to the player who likes to geek out over their equipment and optimize every yard from the tee. Also very good for mid-handicap players who want more control and room to improve.

What type of club is it? A technically advanced and fully adjustable driver designed for maximum distance and controlled ball flight.

If you want a driver that gives you more tools and more influence over your tee shot, then Big Bertha Alpha is still a serious contender.
