Rare Rodebald Hoyer electric solidbody guitar made around the late 1950s / early 1960s (judging by the Ideal pickups).
Rod. Hoyer is more known for archtop guitars but also produced a limited amount of solidbodies. This one seems to be influenced by Fender and Rickenbacker.
This guitar looks to be all original besides the modern output jack and the pot lits. Action is a bit higher that modern standart but still fun to play.
This was originally an all red guitar. This varnish turned brownish where the light hit. ( I have seen that on many other Rodebald Hoyer guitars with that laquer.)
The neck is pretty chuncky and has no trussrod.
Specs:
Nut width: 43,5 mmAction low E at 12th fret: 2,3 mmWeight: 2,53 kg - pretty lightScale 640 mm
