Looking for a refurbished mirrorless camera? On refurbed, refurbished means a used camera has been tested, cleaned, repaired where needed and sold again with a warranty. Mirrorless bodies are compact and capable, and you can save up to 40% vs new while seeing the exact condition grade.
Full-frame bodies, such as the Alpha 7 series or Lumix S1R, offer the best low-light performance. APS-C models like the Fujifilm X-H2 are smaller and lighter.
Higher-resolution bodies such as the Sony Alpha 7R series suit landscape and studio work, while balanced bodies such as the Alpha 7 IV suit all-round use.
Each brand has its own mount, so think about the lenses you want. Adapters can help, but check compatibility first.
Try to picture how the body will feel after a few hours. Grip size, button layout and weight matter as much as specifications, especially if you carry the camera all day.
Check the maximum video resolution, stabilisation and autofocus features in each listing, as they differ widely between generations.
Each listing shows one of four grades: - Premium: looks identical to new and works like new. - Excellent: looks like new and works like new. - Very Good: slight signs of wear, works like new. - Good: some signs of wear, works like new.
Sony covers the Alpha 7, 7R, 7R II and 7R IVA. Nikon offers the Z 5, Fujifilm the X-H2, and Panasonic the Lumix DC-S5 and DC-S1R. Canon is also represented. Each brand has its own character: Sony is known for autofocus and compact full-frame bodies, Fujifilm for classic styling and colour, Nikon for comfortable handling and Panasonic for video features.
Refurbished mirrorless cameras can be up to 40% less than new, and more sustainable vs new because an existing device is used again. There is no camera-specific figure, but as an example, refurbished smartphones from refurbed save on average 82% of CO₂ emissions per device compared with new ones, according to refurbed’s calculation. refurbed’s calculation is verified by an independent third party, GutCert, in accordance with ISO 14040/44.
