Looking for refurbished cameras? On refurbed, refurbished means a used camera has been tested, cleaned, repaired where needed and sold again with a warranty. Whether you want a first DSLR, a full-frame mirrorless body or an action cam for the weekend, you can save up to 40% vs new and know exactly what condition you are getting.
DSLRs offer an optical viewfinder and a huge choice of lenses. Mirrorless cameras are lighter and show the image electronically. Action cameras are small, tough and built for movement. Pick the type that matches how you shoot.
Larger sensors tend to handle low light and depth of field better, while smaller ones keep bodies compact. Check the listing for the sensor format and megapixel count against what you plan to print or share.
Lenses are tied to a mount, such as Canon EF or RF, Nikon F or Z, or Sony E. Make sure any lens you already own, or plan to buy, fits the body.
If you film as well as shoot stills, look at the maximum resolution and frame rate in the listing, and whether stabilisation is built in.
Each listing shows one of four grades, so you know what to expect: - Premium: looks identical to new and works like new. - Excellent: looks like new and works like new. - Very Good: slight signs of wear, works like new. - Good: some signs of wear, works like new.
Canon is strong in both DSLRs, such as the EOS 700D, and in the newer EOS R line. Sony covers mirrorless with the Alpha 7 series, Nikon brings the D3200 and Z 8, and Fujifilm and Panasonic add their own looks and video tools. For action and creators, GoPro, DJI and Insta360 are all represented.
Buying refurbished can save you up to 40% vs new. It is also more sustainable vs new, since a camera that already exists gets a second life. We do not publish a camera-specific figure, but as an example, refurbished smartphones from refurbed save on average 82% of CO₂ emissions per device compared with new ones, according to refurbed’s calculation. refurbed’s calculation is verified by an independent third party, GutCert, in accordance with ISO 14040/44.
Second-hand cameras from private sellers rarely come with a warranty, and shutter wear or sensor dust is hard to judge from a photo. Refurbished cameras on refurbed are tested by experts, graded by condition and sold with a min. 12-month warranty and a 30-day free trial.
