refurbed Appoints Jan Kemper as Chair of its Advisory Board to Support the Next Phase of European Growth

Experienced technology executive to support the company's long-term growth and European expansion

Vienna/Munich, June 2026 – refurbed, one of Europe's leading marketplaces for refurbished products, today announced the appointment of Prof. Dr. Jan Kemper as Chair of its Advisory Board.

Kemper succeeds Delphine Mousseau, who will remain a member of the Advisory Board. During her tenure as Chair, Mousseau played a key role in strengthening the Board and supporting refurbed's evolution from a fast-growing startup into a profitable European scale-up. During her leadership revenue grew 5x.

As refurbed continues to scale in size, geographic reach and strategic complexity, the company is further strengthening its governance structures to support its next phase of development.

The appointment comes as refurbed continues to scale across Europe. The company has surpassed €3 billion in cumulative GMV, serves more than 5 million customers, operates in 24 markets, achieved EBITDA profitability in 2025, and completed a €50 million funding round in October 2025.

Kemper joined refurbed's Advisory Board in January 2025 and has worked closely with the company's leadership team and shareholders over the past 18 months. As Chair, he will support management, investors and the Board in shaping the company's long-term strategic priorities.

A seasoned technology and finance executive, Kemper previously served in senior finance and operating leadership roles at Zalando, N26 and ProSiebenSat.1.  He currently serves on the boards of several high-growth technology companies, including as Chair of Appinio and Ryzon, and is Professor of Entrepreneurship at RWTH Aachen University.
